şeş beş (in four acts)
şeş beş (in four acts) is an artistic research project created in collaboration with Osman Duruk and centred around a specific asylum application that has been pending with the Swiss migration authorities for seven years. The work is a search for room for action in the personal entanglements with these political and legal structures. It is an attempt to interpret and classify, to understand what exactly is going on. One approach: two friends who think together and find themselves in search of ways out in spaces of possibility.
A dialogue-based search for forms of resistance, documented on video. In four chapters, key players are interviewed, phone calls are made, letters are sent. şeş beş (in four acts) is a video installation without beginning or end, it is an essayistic snapshot of a process whose rhythm is determined by others.
