equal use of space is a storage space for sticky dots that mark the potential sale of a work. A site-specific response to the exhibition conditions of a group exhibition that took place at the Kunsthalle Luzern in 2023. Each artist had forty by forty centimetres of space at their disposal. 38 artists were part of the exhibition. In equal use of space, a dot is stored for each work in the exhibition, glued on according to the given pattern of the mathematical problem "circles packing in a square", which ensures that all dots have the same distance to each other and thus have the same amount of space available to everyone. If a work is sold in the room, a dot can be removed from the equal use of space and stuck under the respective work.
