Cirque de Loin creates a very non-classical Christmas variety show in collaboration with the wrestling troupe Brigade Brut in a combative and loving take on the tradition of the classic Christmas variety show of traditional circuses. Underground Fight Cabaret revolves around the intertwining of body and society. The theme of liberation and awareness of the body is inextricably linked to themes of oppression, with ideologies based on one body being superior to the other. The body is our most intimate, most private, most personal and therefore our most vulnerable - and yet incredibly public and political. In a jumble of expectations and norms that we try to fulfil or vehemently resist; in a jumble of traumas stored in the body, we try (perhaps for a lifetime) to find our very own. This search is always a struggle. A battle against ideologies, against deeply stored imprints, against ourselves and against "the others". And we bring this struggle to the stage. In a humorous and raw way.
